Using Your Uniper App

Now that you’ve set up your Uniper App using our Uniper App Self Setup Guide or with one of our team members, you are ready to get started using your features. Though we briefly covered these features in the setup guide, this article will go further in depth about your features and how to use them.

NOTE: If you have not downloaded and set up the Uniper App on your tablet or mobile device, please set it up using the Uniper App Self Setup Guide before reading this article. You can also contact our support team at 1-888-471-7623 to help you set up your app.

Logging In

Locate the Uniper app on your tablet or mobile device, then tap it to open it. If you have logged in before, your app should take you to your home screen. However, you will need to log back in from time to time for security reasons. Tap the ‘Uniper member’ box, then tap the ‘Continue & Accept’ button.

Put in your email address and password— your email is the email address associated with your Uniper account, and your password is your phone number. Once you have typed them in, tap the ‘Login’ button to continue to your home screen.

Your Home Screen

This is your home screen, where you can access all of your Uniper features.

You can tap any of the big box buttons to access the Live Activities screen, the Video Library screen, the Questionnaires screen, or the Announcements screen. We will cover how to use each of these later in the article.

You can also see a short list of upcoming live events by scrolling down. You can even join active live events from your home screen! If a live activity is active and open to you it will have a green ‘Join’ button next to it. All you need to do to join is to tap that button!

The top bar of your screen has the ‘Call Support’ button; if you ever get lost or stuck while using the app, tap this button to contact our support team. The bottom bar on your screen lets you move between your Live Activities screen, Video Library screen, Questionnaires screen, or your Announcements screen by tapping their buttons, return to the home screen by tapping the ‘Home’ button, or check your settings by tapping the 'Settings' button.

Live Activities

Live Activities are the interactive events that take place throughout the week. You can access your Live Activities by tapping the Live Activities button on your home screen or in the bottom bar.

On the Live Activities page you can see all of the live and upcoming events you can join, along with their times, dates, and hosts. You can view up to 6 days in the future by scrolling down the page. Let's take a closer look at an event entry!

Each event’s entry will tell you the time of the event in your local time, the title of the event, the category of the event, who is hosting the event, and whether or not the event is live. Events that are live that you can join will have a red ‘Live’ label and a green ‘Join’ button, while events that are not live yet will have this button greyed out. To open any activity that is live, tap the green ‘Join’ button!

Inside live activities, you can mute or unmute your microphone, start or stop your video, and switch between speaker and gallery view. You can also leave an activity at any time by tapping the ‘Leave' button or the 'Home’ Button. When you want to return to the home screen, tap the ‘Back’ button or the ‘Home’ button in the bottom left corner of your screen.

Video Library

You don’t have to wait for a live activity to start to enjoy your Uniper app! You can watch videos from the Video Library at any time. You can access your Video Library by tapping the Video Library button on your home screen or in the bottom bar.

Inside your video library, your videos are broken down into categories. These categories include content in specific languages, content from your care partner, and content picked especially for you! To access a category, just tap on it.

Inside each category you will find different topics, including yoga, concerts, and more! Tap on a topic to open it.

Inside each topic you will find a collection of videos. To find and watch a video, scroll through the videos with your touch pad and tap on any video you would like to watch.

When you open a video your screen will turn 90 degrees to give you the biggest possible screen. Once the video has loaded, it will begin to play automatically.

To see your video controls, tap the screen once. Once you have brought up the video controls by tapping on the screen, you can pause, rewind, or fast forward your video. To exit your video, tap the back arrow at the bottom of your screen.

Questionnaires

Questionnaires are quizzes and surveys provided for you by your care partner and Uniper. You can test your skills, fill out a monthly check in survey, and more! You can access your available questionnaires by tapping the Questionnaires button on your home screen.

Inside the Questionnaires screen, you can see which surveys are available to you, when the surveys are due, and begin any available survey by tapping that survey’s green ‘BEGIN’ button.

Surveys are quick and easy to complete! Once you begin a survey, tap your answer to select it, then tap next question to continue through the survey. If you want to change an answer, tap the ‘Back’ button in the upper left corner.

Once you have finished your survey, you will reach the survey completion screen. From here you can tap the Continue button to return to the Questionnaires screen, or back to return to your home screen.

Announcements

The Announcements screen is where you can learn about this month’s special activities, as well as view announcements from your care partner! To access your Announcements screen, tap the Announcements box on your home screen.

In here you can see events coming up this week, special events for this month, and other announcements from your care partner! You can move between announcements by tapping the left or right arrows on screen. To go back to your home screen, tap the back button in the top left corner of your screen.

Settings

You can change your settings by tapping the ‘Settings’ button in the bottom right corner of your home screen.

In the Settings screen, you can adjust your language by tapping the ‘Change’ button, change what notifications you get from Uniper by tapping ‘Notification Settings’, find the phone number and email for our support team, or review the privacy policy and terms of use for your Uniper app. You can also sign out of your Uniper app by tapping the ‘Logout’ button.

Troubleshooting

I’ve Lost My Password!

If you’ve lost your password to your Uniper app, tap ‘Forgot’ Password?' to start the recovery process.

Put in the email associated with your Uniper account, then tap ‘Get Password’. Tap ‘Back to login’ to return to the login screen.

You will receive an email confirming your password. Type the email and password into the login screen, then tap ‘Login’ to log back in to your account.

If you are still unable to log in, please reach out to our support team at 1-888-471-7623 or file a Support Ticket!

My live activity has no sound.

First double check that your device’s audio is not muted or off by pressing the volume up or down buttons on the side of the device. If this does not correct the issue, try exiting and reentering the activity by tapping the ‘Leave’ button to return to the live activities screen, then tapping the ‘Join’ button next to the activity to rejoin.

I can’t log in to my Uniper app account.

First make sure that you are typing your username and password in carefully— remember, your username is your email address and your password is your phone number.
