If you are a UniTV user, you received a remote with your box— this is your Uniper Remote! This article will tell you how to use your remote and troubleshoot any issues you may have with it.
Features
Your Uniper Remote should look like the diagram shown above. It is powered by 2 AA batteries, which are inserted into the back of the remote, and it transmits your inputs via the dongle you plugged into Port 9 when you set up your box. Let's walk through all the buttons!
Power Button: This button turns your UniTV box on and off.
Volume Buttons (+ and -): These buttons control the volume level on your UniTV.
Channel Buttons: These buttons let you move between channels when in TV mode.
Home Button: This button switches your TV from your normal programming to UniTV.
TV Button: This button switches your TV from UniTV to your normal programming.
Navigation Buttons (Up, Down, Left, Right): These buttons let you navigate between options in UniTV.
OK Button: This button is used to select the highlighted option in UniTV.
Back Button: This button takes you to the previous screen. If you are in a live activity, this will also let you exit the activity.
Mic Button: This button turns your microphone on and off. The mic is built into the remote, as indicated on the diagram above.
? Button: This button displays our support team’s phone number.
NOTE: The Uniper Remote is only provided with UniTV devices, not with Uniper Web or the Uniper App. If you receive your device but do not receive a Uniper Remote, please contact our Support Team at 1-888-471-7623.
The Uniper Remote Tutorial
When you finish setting up your UniTV device you will be guided to the Uniper Remote Tutorial. This interactive tutorial is build to help you understand and practice using your Uniper Remote. Grab your Uniper Remote and press the OK button to start the tutorial!
NOTE: The Uniper Remote Tutorial will only appear for UniTV users.
Inside the tutorial, there is a grid on the left and instructions in your chosen language on the left. To show you how the remote works, the instructions will guide you through moving the green box in the grid. You will start out in the upper left corner of a grid; press the OK button to move to the next step.
Pressing the OK button in the last step put a check mark in that box! If you see the check mark, you are ready to start this step. Press the blue down arrow to move the box down one square.
Next, press the red right arrow button to move the green square to the right one square.
Press the OK button to put a check mark in the center box.
Now use your arrow buttons to move the green square to the bottom right corner. Here’s a hint: the two buttons you will need are colored in inside the instructions section!
Press the OK button to put your last check mark into the bottom right box.
Great job! You’ve completed your grid. Press the house button to go to your home screen.
Now follow the instructions in the bottom left corner to select the Live Activities tile. You’ll know you have it selected when the Live Activities tile is green, as shown in the image above.
Once you have selected the Live Activities tile, press the OK button to open it. This will take you to the Live Activities screen.

Uniper Remote Refresher
If you ever want to practice using your Uniper Remote, you can redo the tutorial at any time. From your Home screen, use the left and right arrow keys to move to the Settings tile. Once you have it selected, press the OK button to continue.
Inside your Settings screen, use the down arrow button to select the ‘Show Tutorial’ box, then press the OK button.
This will take you back to the start of the Uniper Remote Tutorial.

Troubleshooting
I’m stuck on UniTV / I can’t access my regular TV.
First, press the TV button to try to switch your TV back to its regular channels; a light should appear on the top left corner of your Uniper Remote. If the light does not appear, your batteries may be dead; replace the 2 AA batteries and try pressing the TV button again. If this does not work, try using the power button to turn your box off and back on again, then try using the TV button. If these do not work, please contact our support team at 1-888-471-7623 or file a Support Ticket!
I’m stuck on my regular TV / I can’t access UniTV.
First, press the Home button to try to switch your TV to UniTV; a light should appear on the top left corner of your Uniper Remote. If the light does not appear, your batteries may be dead; replace the 2 AA batteries and try pressing the Home button again. If that does not work, make sure your box is on; there should be a green light on the front of your box. If it is off, make sure it is plugged in and press the Power button on your remote, then press the Home button. If these do not work, please contact our support team at 1-888-471-7623 or file a Support Ticket!
