Upgraded Reminders: Daily Reminders

Release 4 has added a new feature that allows members to be notified for all their scheduled meeting for the day. This is a daily digest sent to the member that includes all live activities for the day regardless of event type.

Managing Daily Reminders

To manage a member's daily reminders, go to Subscribers → Manage Subscribers → Edit → Reminders → Settings → Send Daily Reminder.

The new daily reminder:

  • Can be sent to members via email or SMS

    • This is done separately from the regular phone/SMS reminders members can receive prior to each live activity.

  • Contains all scheduled activities the member is invited to today.

    • The daily reminder isn’t affected by the event-type reminder setting, so excluding an event type from the members phone/SMS reminders does not exclude that event type from the daily reminder.

    • Additional numbers currently do not receive daily SMS reminders; only the member’s mobile number will receive SMS reminders.

  • Will be set to off as the default setting for new members.

  • Can have its delivery time set by Uniper super-admins.

    • The available times are between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

    • Emails and SMS messages can be scheduled for different times.

  • Can be unsubscribed from by members. Members can unsubscribe from receiving daily reminders by clicking on a link in the daily reminder Email/SMS.

    • This action will automatically turn off the member’s daily reminder setting in UniManage.

    • This action is platform-sensitive - only the platform the member chose to opt-out of (Email or SMS) will be turned off in UniManage.

Changes to the My Meetings Page

Additional Filters: Tags and Activity Type

You can now filter what is presented in their day/week view by using tags and meeting type drop downs shown below.

Added Activity Type Icon in Week View

Meetings and activities now have an icon indicating activity type in the week view.

Send Member an SMS for Personal Meetings

Member SMS messages can now be sent from each event on the My Meetings screen. All UniManage users will be able to send a text message to the member by selecting the meeting, inputting the message, and selecting send.

VOD Content: New Language Tag for Video Content

When a video in the VOD library is tagged with language content that differs from the member’s display language, an indicator tag will be shown.

  • This tag will be visible only if the content’s language is different than the member’s display language.

  • The text will be displayed in the member’s display language. For example, if the member’s display language is English and the content is in Hebrew, the tag will say “Hebrew”.

Setting Up the Language Tag:

In UniManage, go to Setup → Media Content Management → Add Media Item.

  • A new mandatory field, Video Content Language, has been added to the Edit Media Item pop-up.

    • This field states the language of the relevant video.

    • If the language of the video isn’t relevant (e.g. music), please select the option ‘None’.

  • This field is not to be confused with the Associated Display Language, which is where you select the desired system display languages for the video.

For example, a video in English aimed at a Russian speaking audience who has Russian as their display language should have its Video Content Language set to English, but its Associated Display Language set to Russian.

Multiple Language Support for Web Members

The web platform is now accessible in English, Hebrew, Russian, and Arabic.

Self Installation Wizard

New Wizard Step: WhatsApp Configuration

A new step was added to the UniTV installation wizard to help installers set up WhatsApp configuration with ease. This step is not mandatory and can be skipped.

The WhatsApp Configuration Setup Flow:

  1. If you are using the UniMote remote control, select Enable / Disable AirMouse. If you wish to proceed with the AirMouse, skip this step.

  2. Select Open WhatsApp.

    1. The WhatsApp application will open.

    2. Choose Setup WhatsApp account and follow the steps on screen.

    3. When done, click the back or the home button to return to the installation wizard.

  3. If you did not disable the AirMouse in step 1, disable the AirMouse now by clicking Enable / Disable AirMouse.

    1. The AirMouse will be automatically disabled after 5 minutes of inactivity.

  4. Complete the installation process as usual.

Note: if you do not wish to configure WhatsApp at this time, simply select next.

Changes to Welcome Email/SMS Flow: Multiple Access Type Support

Changes to the Welcome Email/SMS for New Members:

We have made the following minor changes to the welcome email sent to new members:

  • The new member email will be sent to UniTV, web, or tablet members when their account is created.

  • This new member email will include the member’s credentials, as well as a quick link to login from the web. This link allows users to log in via web without having to type in their username and password.

  • Members without a valid email address will not receive an email.

We have also added a welcome SMS to be sent to new members.

  • The new member welcome SMS will be sent to members with a mobile phone as their access type.

  • The new member welcome SMS will include the member’s credentials.

  • The new member welcome SMS will include a link to download the new Uniper app from the app store.

  • If you select the option ‘All’ under a member’s access type, the new member welcome SMS will be sent to the member.

  • Members without a valid mobile number will not receive an SMS.

From now on, please select only the relevant access types per member, and don’t automatically select ‘All’. The mobile app is not available to all members yet. This is why you are asked to not automatically check ‘All’ under access type— it will trigger an SMS. A table of which access types will receive which type of new member message is provided above to help you determine the correct access type.
