Adding Live Activities

Live Activities are one of the best ways to engage your members through Uniper! You can add new activities through UniManage. If you want to learn about viewing and managing your existing live activities, click here!


Setting Up a Live Activity

From your dashboard, open the Live Activities dropdown in the left sidebar and click ‘Create Live Activity'.

Start by putting in the title of your activity and selecting your meeting host from the ‘Meeting host’ dropdown. If you want to display a different name for the host than the name listed in the ‘Meeting host’ dropdown, type that name in the ‘Host name’ box. If you don’t want to display a different name, leave this box blank.

You can also choose to display the host’s photo if they have one available by checking the ‘Show host photo’ box. If you don’t check this box, the default photo for your chosen activity type will be displayed to members.

Select your activity’s type from the options shown; don’t worry if your activity doesn’t exactly match one of these categories— just select the one you feel is closest to the content of your activity. All activities except for peer and support groups will start automatically in speaker view.

Next choose what reminders you want to use for this activity. If you have phone reminders enabled for your account and subscribers, you can check the ‘Enable phone reminders’ box to send your members a phone call reminder before the activity. You can also add a custom reminder message for this activity by clicking the ‘Browse’ button and selecting a MP3 file from your computer; if you do not add this, your default phone reminder message will play instead. Add a description for your live activity. Though the description should be brief (less than 100 characters) it should give members a good idea of what to expect from your activity.

You do not need to create a separate zoom meeting for your live activity, but if you would like to use your own external Zoom link check the ‘External Meeting’ box. If you check the box, put in your meeting link, meeting ID, and meeting password.

TIP: When setting up your Zoom meeting, make sure that you do not have waiting rooms turned on; Uniper automatically provides a waiting room for the host and participants. For more information on setting up Zoom meetings, visit Zoom's Help Center.

Set the date and time for your activity; if you would like this meeting to recur each week, check the ‘Recurs weekly’ box.

You can check the ‘Send to All' box to send this activity to all of your members, or you can add your audience either by name using the ‘Individual UniTV users’ box or by tag in the ‘UniTV users OR/AND tags’ boxes.

When you’re ready, click the ‘Publish’ button. You will receive a confirmation screen showing you the details of your activity and any errors you may encounter. When you are ready to save the activity, click the ‘Publish’ button, or click the ‘Cancel’ button to return to editing the activity.


When I try to save an activity with an external meeting link, I receive an error.

If you receive an error while trying to save your activity, check to make sure that your Zoom meeting link, Zoom meeting ID, and Zoom meeting password are correct. Also ensure that there are no spaces before, after, or in the middle of the Zoom meeting link, Zoom meeting ID, and/or Zoom meeting password.

I can’t get into my UniManage account.

If you can’t access your UniManage account, please contact support at 1-888-471-7623.

The member I am looking for isn’t showing up in my user search.

First, try searching for the member by their phone number. If they still do not appear, make sure the member is listed under your subscriber's list; if the member is not listed in your subscribers, you can learn how to add them here. If the member is listed among your subscribers but still isn’t showing up in the Add Individual Users search, please contact support at 1-888-471-7623.
